The New South Culinary Journey:    
So what does a Southern Jewish, Savannah Country Day School grad, ex-football player and a NJ  Irish Chef have to do with Southern Gourmet dining?  As a 5th generation native of Savannah, I've been blessed with enjoying Southern cooking since I was a child. My culinary journey took me from the 24 historic squares of Savannah to the 7 boroughs of NYC. In New York, I had the opportunity to work and learn from some of the world's best chefs at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). There I teamed up with fellow CIA Graduate, Chef Scott Gordon who brings a northern Philly and NJ flair to his cooking. It's the contrast of the two chefs that help to blend together to create a truly unique cuisine that we call "NEW SOUTH".

Here at the New South Cafe, we celebrate Southern Cooking in all its forms: from LowCountry Coastal, to Cajun, to Country-Fried, to South American to Caribbean. All tied together with the LOVE  of warm weather, cool breezes, and unique flavor combinations.
